The 4000 Series to BSEN certificate for 240 minutes (4 Hours).
The latest addition to the Profab range of performance access panels is the new 4000-1FR panel. This panel has been designed for use in riser door applications where maximum performance is required from a cost effective access panel. The new product has successfully been tested to BS EN 1634-1 which is the new ISO fire standard. The BS EN requires the panel to perform successfully and retain its structural integrity when fire tested from BOTH SIDES of the panel. The new Profab 1FR panel was successfully tested at Warrington Fire Research for 2 hours in a double door unit (1800mm x 2400mm) and 4 hours in a single door unit (900mm x 2400mm).
The panel uses a lockable three point catch mechanism and is an ideal low cost high performance solution for riser doors and also for modular (pod) service access from corridor areas. Designed for ease of installation with flush metal doors for clean uncluttered appearance, the 4000 panel is a good alternative to conventional timber door/architrave access. It is an ideal choice for hotel, student, affordable housing, key worker, hospital and many other building projects.
The panel can be manufactured in any size in a single or double door configuration, and is readily available from Profab’s Atherstone production facility. |
