Profab Access’ PRECISION Adjustable Frame has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year's National Building and Construction Awards (NBCA) for the Innovation of the Year category.
Profab Access is committed to supporting architects, specifiers, contractors and installers in achieving the highest standards in construction excellence, from the initial design stages, right through to installation and maintenance.
This is reflected in the significant investments it continues to make with regard to the research and development of innovative new products, including its new PRECISION Adjustable Frame, and the independent fire testing of these products.
The new Profab Access PRECISION Adjustable Frame demonstrates the highest standards of innovation and quality. It is:
The new revolutionary PRECISION Adjustable Frame is the only building product of its type currently available on the UK market and offers an innovative approach to installing riser doors across a diverse range of commercial applications. It is also the only adjustable frame to be bi-directionally fire tested and certified by an accredited third party.
Launched in May 2021, the patent pending frame has been independently fire tested and certified by Warrington Fire, CERTIFIRE accredited up to two hours in solid and flexible shaft walls.
Supplied as standard with Profab Access’ INTEGRA 4000 FR Series Riser Doors, the frame is extended to the full size of the structural opening and fitted with an integral intumescent strip to provide fire stopping between the wall and frame. This eliminates the requirement of packers and the reliance of the correct thickness of intumescent mastic bead. Importantly it ensures the compliance and adequacy of the entire installation, as its fire integrity performance has been sufficiently documented by an independent assessor. As a result, this also subsequently increases the efficiencies of installation and removes any potential margins for error.
