Ceiling Panels > ALTA 3000 Series
Designed and manufactured to offer ease of access to loft space, Profab’s ALTA 3000 Series metal ceiling panel offers a discreet aesthetic and is quick and easy to install.
The loft hatch can be used to provide access to the loft area between 50mm wide timber truss, joisted plasterboard or plaster ceilings and is suitable for new build and retrofit projects. Loft ladder installations are possible and should be discussed with the Profab Access Technical team.
The ALTA 3000 Series is available as a fire rated and non-fire rated ceiling panel. The metal door of the fire rated option is lined with foil-backed wool insulation and has been fire tested to BS EN 476 Part 22:1987. It has a fire rating of 60 minutes for a single door (SD) up to 800mm x 800mm in size.
The ALTA 3000 Series loft hatch has a 23dB acoustic shielding performance as standard. The metal door of the loft hatch for the fire rated and non-fire rated versions has been insulated for thermal efficiency and offers a thermal ‘U’ value of 0.38 W/m2K.
There are a number of different locking options available – push catch (PC), budget lock (BL) and security lock (SL). The push catch (PC) lock is only available on the non-fire rated version of the ALTA 3000 Series. All locks are installed and set during the manufacturing process and the lock will not require adjusting once on site. The loft hatches are supplied with the appropriate keys - ‘T’ bar keys or security lock keys.
The ALTA 3000 Series has the option of a beaded frame (BF) or picture frame (PF). The picture frame is ideal for retrofitting. The frame and door of the loft hatch are supplied fully powder coated to RAL9010 matt with an option for other RAL colours and textured finishes if required.
Manufactured in the UK the ALTA 3000 Series provides an easy, maintenance-free and cost-effective means of accessing the loft area.
